I’m drawn to stories about everyday life, and believe they can help ground us and aid us in better relating to one another.
I worked as an intern at The Columbus Dispatch, The Morning Call and WOUB Public Media, and have a master’s degree in documentary photojournalism from Ohio University.
I also am a licensed FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot! Yay drones?
My pictures have been used by Associated Press, New York Times, Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, NPR, USA Today, ESPN and Sports Illustrated, among others.

To any of my past coworkers, or any journalists reading this: please don’t give up on our profession. Yes, journalism is getting more and more difficult what with the industry-wide cuts we’ve been experiencing and with threats from AI, to name a few reasons. But journalism is too important to merely “stop doing it.” So, keep getting out there and working on stories to the best of your ability. You got this big dog.
